Mercury Computer Systems, Visualization Sciences Group, today becomes VSG

2009-06-09

We are pleased to announce that the Visualization Sciences Group of Mercury Computer Systems (VSG) will once again be operating as an independent entity effective June 9, 2009.

Through a Management Buy-Out (MBO) operation, supported by IRDI-ICSO Private Equity, VSG (Visualization Sciences Group) will be a stand-alone company, as it was prior to the Mercury acquisition in 2004 of TGS (Template Graphics Software).

Led by Jean-Bernard Cazeaux, and still with the original founders who created Avizo and developed Open Inventor, the entire VSG team is very excited about this opportunity and is looking forward to a prosperous future.

VSG’s primary goal, of course, is to continue to serve our customers through offices in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and through our worldwide distributor channel.

During the past 5 years, VSG has been investing heavily into the Research and Development of our flagship products, Open Inventor and Avizo, while at the same time recording profits and achieving sustainable growth while being a part of Mercury Computer Systems.

Today, our mission, shared by our financial partner, is to leverage the leading-edge technology and the unique market expertise that we have been building for 20 years, and to continue to deliver leading-edge products in high-performance 3D toolkits and visualization software, without sacrificing quality or service.

All your VSG contacts remain unchanged, with e-mail addresses transitioning from @mc.com to @vsg3d.com.

Kind regards,
Your VSG team
